This bracket cant be correct, can it? How can Camas play Graham in the 2nd round? Who seeds these teams? Whom ever it is should be fired!
Fact of the matter is Graham-Kapowsin is a #2 seed in their conference, which makes them technically at best a #3 seed in their district. Should the home team win in week ten, every game in the state would technically be a #1 vs #2 from conference standings.
WIAA sets up the brackets two years in advance taking into account safety and economics… Standings have absolutely no consideration. IMHO, since there’s “little to no” cross-over games between leagues and divisions, there’s really no best way to sort out “rankings/standings” other than an eye test that will fail most instances for playoff considerations. WIAA attempts to limit the number of “over-the-pass” travel and renders a good chance for Quarter/Semi-Final games from both sides of the State…
Where did my post go? SS
