One of the top junior O lineman on the west coast , Morgan Richey (6-5 280 Jr. OL) of Bellevue, landed his first D1 offer from Idaho yesterday.
Its hard to call him the top Jr. offensive lineman in the state when Kaleb Mcgary has every offer under the sun, but I would put Richey up against anybody. He is that good.
Morgan helped anchor the Wolverines very talented up front cast, leading them to another state title in 2012. Richey will be a double digit D1 offer athlete, much like some of his teammates, but the first one is always special. ” Idaho contacted me and said they had some good news, and when I spoke to them they extended there offer”, Morgan said.
I give the Vandals a lot of credit for getting into the state’s of Oregon and Washington and offering the top kids lately. The new staff is doing great work, and Richey is a no brainer.
Referencing the offer, he says “They said they sat as a staff and watched my film and all agreed they wanted to offer…. I’m just very appreciative and thankful”.
Morgan’s a very humble kid and deflects praise when directed at him, but all everything lineman and teammate Marcus Griffin says, ” I’m a big fan of Morgan, he’s a good friend and teammate and it couldn’t of happened to a better person”.
Bellevue will come back next season and once again be ranked one of the nation’s top teams, in large part due to guys like Richey. We will keep you updated as the Wolverine athletes continue to garner offers.
