*Correction: Taylor won the WA 3A State title, not the 4A
(Tatum Taylor 5-10 165 Jr. ATH ODea HS) |
This past week we were able to see a host of the Northwest’s top talent at our, “Battle In Seattle 7 on 7 event”. TatumTaylor is one of the country’s fastest athletes, and recently just won the Washington Class 3A State Title (100 Meters) after coming up just short the past two seasons.
Taylor holds offers from Utah, Oregon St, Washington St, Idaho, Wyoming, and Purdue and should see many more before all is said and done. Tatum ran a 4.21 hand time 40 yard dash at our Gig Harbor Regional Combine about a month ago, and continues to elevate his game. In 2011 he was voted Conference Player of the Year after rushing for over 1000 yards and 23 Tds, averaging over 10 Yards per carry.
Taylor split time with two other talented backs in Jayshawn Jordan and Kent McKinney who are both graduating. This set’s up what could be a record breaking type season for Taylor who should now see the bulk of the touches.
It was great having Taylor out at our event, as he was able to show off his elite speed and football skills. Taylor’s TEAM Washington bunch was tripped up by a very talented Skyview (Vancouver) team in the championship game that saw Reiley Henderson earn MVP honors with an incredible performance.
Stay tuned for video coverage all week of our “Battle In Seattle Event” where NEI & Barton Foootball once again hosted the Northwest’s top athletes.
