(Kendrick Murphy 6-0 165 Jr. ATH Juanita) |
A kid that everyone will be excited to see on Friday Nights in the Fall is Kendrick Murphy (6-0 165 Jr. ATH) of Juanita HS in Washington. He came to our elite events and absolutely killed it on both sides of the ball. His route running was some of the best we have seen in the entire Northwest, and you can bet that the Rebels will attempt to get the ball in his hands as much as possible.
Murphy earned all league honors as a DB and as a Kick returner (1st Team) this past season racking up 26 tackles, 3 TFL, and 3 Int’s while accounting for 469 total return yards and a TD.
Kendrick is a super humble kid that just flat out gets it done. He is one of the most exciting athletes in Washington and ranked as one of the top kids in the State. The Rebels went (4-6) but have one of the best young head coaches anywhere in Shaun Tarantola.
We are big fans of the Juanita program and the athletes that they produce. Murphy didn’t see a ton of time as a receiver, but should definitely get in the mix this season. He is a threat to take it to the house anytime he gets the ball and we consider him one of the top wide receivers in the Northwest.
Murphy says, ” I just want to win and contribute however I can, I feel like I can be a difference maker on both sides of the ball”. Kendrick traveled to Portland a few weeks back to attend our elite events with talented teammate Trayon McNairy. Both kids are ranked as two of the top 50 athletes in Washington State and should be considered college level talent.
We will continue to update you on all of Murphy’s accomplishments, as his electric play will bring many additional fans to the stands during the season.
