Wyoming continued its recruiting terror through the Northwest and this time they got started with some of the top kids in the 2013 class. Kahlil Dawson (5-9 165 Jr. CB) out of Graham-Kapowsin HS in Washington got the news on Friday evening and said, “Words can’t describe how I feel, I found out at basketball practice and thought it was a joke but I called my dad and he told me”. He continued, ” I wanted to cry because I have been working for this all my life and football can open so many doors for me”.
NEI reported on Dawson being the top junior corner in the state of Washington earlier this week, with an article that spoke of his unique athletic ability and lock down approach to the position. A few days later one of the top up and coming programs in the nation made their intentions known by offering Kahlil a full scholarship offer.
Dawson had 2 interceptions and 14 pass deflections during a season that saw almost every offense shy away from throwing the ball to his side. He also accounted for 750 all purpose yards and 5 Td’s offensively. He is a class kid in every sense of the word with a tremendous upside and we will continue to follow him for the years to come.
