Its been an incredible four months at NEI and we are looking forward to a very busy off season. We wanted to reach out and say thank you to everyone for the overwhelming support that has been given.
Through the Barton Football Academy we have been able to give a platform to student athletes within the Pacific Northwest free of charge at Northwest Elite Index. We don’t believe in passwords or a monthly fee, and the videos have allowed family members from all around the country to watch their loved one’s play if they couldn’t be there in person.
The NEI/ Barton Combine Tour is just around the corner as we will be visiting 10 Northwest cities in Oregon, Washington and Idaho. Dates will be released shortly, and we are excited to have all of the top athletes from the northwest compete against one another. The exclusive video at the events will be something unprecedented, and we look forward to sharing it with all of you.
A special feature at NEI we have up coming is something unique that we think all will enjoy. Last week Kellen Clemens, the starting QB for the St Louis Rams, contacted Barton and asked him to come out for his final regular season game in St Louis. Clemens trains with Barton each off season and stays in touch through out the year. He will be there as they take on the San Francisco 49ers in week 17.
Clemens is just another QB to show his appreciation through an event like this. Super Bowl champion Aaron Rodgers, Derek Anderson, Dan Orlovksy, Carson Palmer, Brad Smith, and Heisman Trophy winner Jason White are just a few proud Barton Football Academy members that you can see above who have benefited from work outs with Taylor.
Ndamukong Suh, Troy Polamalu, and hundreds of other positional players have benefited as well. No matter what the level Taylor has been instrumental in changing hundreds of lives with his positive approach to the game of football. The time put in will be something no one ever fully understands, but in the long run its done for the love of the game and the benefit of the person. Everyone is treated equally.
Taylor will be traveling to St Louis this week and staying with Clemens to get the ins and outs on pre game and post game rituals that the Oregon product goes through. We will have cameras covering the ride to the game and all the other events that take place before and after an NFL contest. This is one of many unique opportunities that we will have to feature some of the best football players on planet earth who have lived the Barton Football Academy dream.
Taylor was a projected 3rd round NFL draft choice himself before a life threatening illness took its toll, so this is a way he can give back to those individuals who dream about playing at the highest level.
We look forward to covering this NFL contest and also have three of the top junior QB’s in the country/region working with us this off season from the state of Washington. (Max Browne- Skyline #1 Jr QB-Nationally, Kolney Cassel- Eisenhower, Billy Green- Kings HS). Its just one of many things that we are excited about here at NEI, and we look forward to sharing it with all of you.
