Breaking News from NEI coming to you first once again as Southridge big man Sean McGill (6-8 260 OL/DL) got his first offer from Idaho St, while more offers look to be coming in. McGill was a first team all league Defensive end and was a dominant force all season. He earned second team all league honors at TE as a junior, and also is a varsity hooper showing off his overall athleticism.
Sean is the son of Kevin McGill who was drafted by the Cleveland Browns out of the University of Oregon in 1981. He has came a long way in the last year looking much more fluid coming off the ball. The Bengals made a good move trying to lock up McGill as his upside is off the charts. You can’t teach 6 foot 8 and athletic so big things lie ahead for the kid from Beaverton.
E.Washington looks like they may be next to offer as Mcgill as his stock continues to rise. NEI featured him in last weeks “flying under the radar” piece and the chatter continues to elevate when his name is mentioned. McGill said at the time, “I have received significant interest from certain schools and I feel confident that a couple of them should offer”. We look forward to following Mcgill’s progress and wish him the best moving forward.
