Last Friday we witnessed the #6 ranked Jesuit Crusaders handle an (11-0) Tigard group 35-7. The #3 Tigers didn’t know what had hit them as Jesuit’s line was dominant most of the night. Tigard still played very well up front, but the size differential was just to much. Both Max Rich (6-7 280 Jr OL) and Andrew Kirkland (6-5 290 Jr OL) showed why they are considered two of the top junior lineman in the western region.
Both of them earned 2nd team all league honors and have been invited to attend the Army All American Combine in San Antonio this January. They are coached by maybe the best O line guy in Oregon in John Andreas. Right now the Crusaders are firing on all cylinders and average 6-5 270 across the board. (Dominic Mori Sr 6-1 240 C, Dominic Baldocchi Jr 6-3 260, Austin Griffin Sr 6-5 320).
Rich has one of the biggest upsides to any lineman in the state wth his 6-7 frame. He’s a talented basketball player and moves very fluid for a kid carrying 280 pounds. He could easily pack on 30-40 pounds and be one of the most athletic Tackles in the country. You can expect Rich to have most of the schools in the country courting him.
Kirkland is another kid with the size and smarts to play at the highest level, and he will be showing off all his attributes with the nations best in early January. His testing is through the roof as you can expect to see both of these kids ranked among the top athletes in the region.
