Though he’ll be in a different uniform on a different team this year, expect much of the same from AJ Glass. A 2nd Team All League DB last year at West Linn, AJ has transferred to Jesuit . As if the Crusaders needed any more talent, Glass forms a great 1-2 punch in the backfield with Jaima Halliburton. Defensively, he rounds out arguably the best secondary in the state with Nick Rothstein, Drew DeMarco, and Robert Stryss.
Right now it is unclear what position Glass projects into at college . He attended the University of Colorado camp as a RB, in which Running Backs coach Eric Bienemy felt he was in the top three. He then turned around and attended the University of Washington camp 2 weeks later as a DB and had secondary coach Jeff Mills doing double takes.
The good news for Glass is that he doesn’t have to choose yet as college is still a couple years away. No one is happier about that than Jesuit head coach Ken Potter. A two way threat, AJ might be the final piece to the puzzle Jesuit needs for another state title.
